We manufacture spirally crimped fin tubes: a fin strip is wound in a continuous spiral around the base tube under tension, and mechanical crimping creates interlocking ridges between the fin and tube for a secure bond without welding. This design increases heat transfer surface area and creates beneficial turbulence on the airside, giving higher heat transfer than bare tubes. The attachment resists loosening under thermal cycling and vibration. Used in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, HVAC, and process heating or cooling. Tube OD 15–220 mm, fin height 6.35–38 mm; base tubes in carbon steel, stainless, or copper alloys with fins in aluminum, copper, or steel.

Spirally Crimped Construction

  • Process: Fin strip is wound around the base tube at a precise angle; crimping forms interlocking ridges for a durable mechanical bond (optional tack welding at ends for extra security)
  • Benefits: Strong thermal contact, improved heat transfer coefficient, cost-effective versus welded fin tubes, suitable for heating and cooling applications
